Every marketing decision should be part of an overall marketing strategy. For the record, boosting a post is not a marketing strategy. It’s a tactic.

Marketing strategy starts with defining a goal. And no, getting rich is not a goal. It’s a byproduct of reaching your marketing goals. So first determine what spells success for your business.

Then get into tactics. Typically this means getting the right product or service in front of the right people at the right time. Plug your business into that formula. Boosting a post may very well be an excellent tactic, but there are a ton of other options. What’s going to be the most efficient?
